Candi Press is a small press with one conviction: some books deserve to be read slowly, and to be made with the care that asks for it. We set type by hand — old craft — in classical faces on cream paper; we hunt every widow, orphan, and hanging word; we read a text root by root before we ever call it finished. The trained human eye is our final judge — of a word, and of a page.
